Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter everyone!! I hope everyone had a marvelous day:) Ours turned out pretty well, a little hectic, but it was nice. Next year we know to do the pictures first... before all the dirt and crying babies!:) Anyway, we had a nice afternoon with Jami's family and Tracy and the kids came. We had a really, really yummy ham, that we were a little concerned about since Jami got a "cooked" Cook's ham ( he-he Jami) with the bone in and I had never use a bone-in ham. It was a good thing she's kind of a little, ummmm, sloooooooowwww... sometimes:) It was one of the best ham's I've ever had... yeah us!! Of course, it would have been nice if it was a tad warmer, but I guess compared to last year, we shouldn't complain. Anyway, here are a ton of pictures of the kids the night before coloring eggs and of Sunday afternoon.

I think everyone got confetti-ed except for Jami and Eric.... of course, Jami was the one doing the breaking of the eggs.....hmmm......

Dress-up Photo Shoot:

Lakin decided to pull out all of these dress-up clothes from her memaw's hose and try them all on..... Emma wanted to join in, so we gave her a little help;)

Emma and her new-found love of shoes

so my mom bought Emma these shoes on Sunday and she found one on the coffee table last night. She started crying and getting mad and I had no idea why. Turns out she just wanted her shoe on! So cute!! So I took it off of her so I could video her getting mad:) She just walked around all night with her one shoe on..happy as can be. Oh yeah, If you listen real close at the end, you can hear her say her version of "hello" with her hand on her ear.... maybe it's her first word!!

Emma's Birthday Party

Well, it's been here and now its gone:(....... my baby's 1!!! I will admit, I shed a tear... or two. Anyway, thanks to everyone who made it to the party and for your wonderful gifts! Here are some pictures, even though I didn't get many ( I never do at my kids' parties). My brother was able to get a few of Emma opening presents, but I'm going to have to figure out a better photo strategy when it comes to my parties:) This video is of Lakin singing her sister Happy Birthday.... I thought it was a good start to this blog.

Poor baby was SOO tired but she refused to lay down and take a nap. I finally gave her a bottle ( she hadn't had a full one all day!!) and she just couldn't make it:) She's nver fallen asleep with a bottle before..... she just couldn't hang on any longer.
