Okay..... so here are a whole bunch of pictures of mostly the girls.....well, maybe mostly Emma:) I just HAD to share them with everyone!!! Like I said in one of my earlier posts, I'm going to have LOTs, and LOTS, and Lots, and LOTS........... of pictures now that it's getting warm out. Emma and Lakin have at least a new outfit everyday ( that we go somewhere, anyhow) and I have to take pictures of all of them!!!

Both of the kids had P/T conferences this week. Lakin's was Monday, and her teacher said she is doing well. She's actually talking a little bit now and doesn't stick her hands in her mouth as often. Mrs. Tessmer said she hasn't mastered everything but she thinks she's coming right along. She is the 2nd youngest in her class, so they don't expect her to "get" everything. She took a standardized test and they gave her the 4 year old test instead of the three, because she's so close to being 4. Anyway, perfect was 100 and passing was 80. Lakin scored 83, so not bad since they didn't even know if she'd pass. Some of the things she lost points for were not being able to take 4 steps on her toes and not being able to walk heel to toe........ We need to work on letter recognition, but other than that, she's moving right along!!

Gavin's was yesterday, and like usual, I was in and out in 10 minutes. His teacher said that academically, he is one of her best students! He doesn't get into any trouble, either:) He's only lost one conduct strip the entire year and she said that's rare for boys at his age. She said she doesn't think he'll have any problems in 2nd grade and thinks that maybe it will challenge him a little ( I'm not so sure he'll like that much). Apparently, he's a little anti-social, plays by himself a lot. He'll play with other kids if they come to him, but very rarely does he go to other kids and try to play...... I guess he's a bit uppity like his momma:) I can completely understand him.... it's no fun being a bit shy, hopefully he'll grow out of it. So basically, he's doing well!! He's made HIGH honor roll every semester except for one and then it was just regular honor roll...... yeah Gavin!!!

P.S. I forgot something about Lakin. Her teacher said that she is very vocal about things she doesn't like. During circle time, if there's only one chair left, and it's by a boy, she'll say " I don't like to sit next to boys, only girls!!". That's my smart baby!!:)

Gavin's first game

Gavin's first game was yesterday morning against Belle Union. Let's just say that those three weeks of practice that we missed really showed......... I think the finall score was 20-2. They called the game because the other team reaced 20:( so sad. Hopefully we improve or at least play a team as bad as we are:) :) Anyway, Gavin seemed like he had an okay time. He hit the ball both times at bat, and as you can see in the video, his first time, he never made it to base. The second time he had a good hit and made it to first, but didn't ever stop.... just kept on runnin and got tagged out. We are really going to have to work on his listening skills. He has another game today against Eminence, but we are still waiting to hear if they are going to cancel it.
