Just a peek into the daily chaos that is our life..I wouldn't change it for anything!

I just LOVE warm weather...but with that fabulous weather comes SUPER cute clothes! The number of dresses that the girls ( me) just can't live without seem to increase every year. Unfortunately, we just don't go enough places to get a chance to wear them all or I think they'll wear them again and I can get a picture then...but they never do. SO....now is the time that I start to put Emma in clothes that won't fit her next summer..just so I can see her in them and take a picture. Lakin can usually wear her things for 2 summers, so I'll get another chance next year to see all of hers...but sadly Emma's 18-24 will have to be moved to Ava's closet. This is the reason that over the next few months, it is very likely that you will see Emma in pictures wearing clothes that are definitely not suitable for our current weather ;)
2011!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year Everyone!! I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years Eve! Mine was spent ( not blogging as planned) giving the girls their last bath of the year, making my last batch of cookies and milkshakes of the year, and organizing a bookshelf....I know that most of you can't even wrap your minds around that type of fun and excitement, but you really should try ;) I was in bed watching a movie ( my last bad movie of the year) by 10 and asleep by a little after 11. Of course I was woken at 11:59 on the dot, feeling like a rather bad mom, by Gavin....who I thought was asleep. He wanted to watch the ball drop..PERFECT timing my boy! By the time I got the t.v. on and to the right channel there was 12 seconds until midnight...whoo! We made it just in time! I said " Yay, Happy New Year!..That's it! " He said " oh...okay...night..love you". LOL....I guess he expected more, poor guy....next year I'll have to take him to Times Square...or at least have a party in our living room ;) He went back to bed and I crashed ( after the customary Shooting Of The Gun by the neighbors ) only to be awoken shortly after by one heck of a good first storm of the year and no electricity....I'm thankful it was still warm out. Today feels like any other Saturday...kids are bored, The Husbands out working in the garage and I want to do nothing but lay in bed and watch lifetime and Hallmark movies ( which unfortunately won't happen) for the entire day. I wish the best for all of you in this New Year and I hope it brings you everything that you desire....if it doesn't...I wish you the strength to get through it anyway and know that eventually it will get better ;) God has His plan for all of us and I'm curious to see what mine will be over the next 12 months.....Once again..... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Aryssa's 7th Birthday Party
They grow up SO fast ;( This is one little girl who is doing it beautifully!!! She isn't only the prettiest little Aryssa I've ever met...she's also such a good girl! Unlike my own darling heathens, she could receive two gifts and one of them could be really hideous clothing ;)...and she would still be happy and satisfied. You won't hear any..." i don't really like this" or "is there more?", from this one! I just love her to pieces...but she is going to have to learn to not take me so seriously all the time...lol. I guess I'm so used to all the kids I'm around just knowing that I'm silly, I forget and find myself assuring her I'm only kidding...and not completely crazy. ;) Happy Birthday Miss Aryssa...I hope your 7th year is nothing but wonderful!!!!
"The Tree" 2010
So my poor little Christmas tree was laughed at this year by a very mean, heartless person (ahem...JAMI). I will admit, it's getting on in years and was bought on a very tight budget all those years ago. Maybe it does need to give up it's place in front of our window to a newer more full tree...but the kids still had fun decorating it and were very proud of themselves ( I'm not ashamed to say I dream of a tree that is ONLY for ME to decorate!!). Maybe next year will bring a replacement....or maybe I'll even brave this dreaded, much hated cold, and venture out to get a real one...maybe ;) For now, the ornaments will be removed and the tree will be put back in it's much used ( makeshift boat, plane and train) box for storage...and I'll share these pictures that make having a tree that may be lacking just a little....not matter at all. <3
